Today was a doctor day. Jacob and Kayleigh saw Dr. K, our pediatrician. Kayleigh needed a weight check, and Jacob was getting his 4 month check up and shots. So, momma jumped in the shower, and the shower parade began. Soon, Daddy was drying off and getting clean clothing on each little one that came dripping and sputtering out of the shower. WOOHOO!! 3 clean in 15 minutes!!
The whole family went up the mountian to see Dr. K, which is quite rare. Seeing my family working as a team was such a blessing!
So... The results are in. Kayleigh gained a mere 4 ounces, bring her up to 22 pounds, 4 ounces. She grew 3/4's of an inch, putting her at 33 1/2 inches. She's at the 0.5% for weight and the 5% for height *sigh* She was sent with daddy and biggest sister to go get blood drawn. Daddy reported back with amazement that she didn't utter a PEEP during the whole process!!! What a good girl!
Jacob is now 16 1/2 pounds (62%) and 26 inches long (63%)!!! he's up 20% ! He thought he MIGHT like Dr. K. but quickly changed his mind and his whole face melted into tears while she quickly checked him over. After she left, the big bad nurse came in, and he even flirted with her... until he was laid back down. I SWEAR he remembers this trick from last time. He started melting down into tears again. He did squeal a bit with each poke, and was sure the yummy juice the lady gave him was poisoned, but he recovered quickly (mommy rescued him and hid him from that mean lady!).
After we were all done and the next appointment was schedualed, we were on our way. DH had read an announcement for Dutch Brothers coffee shop, who was having a local grand opening. They were giving away free coffee or smoothie to each customer and one of the local radio stations was there too. While the lines were VERY long, we had fun!!
The silence in the van was astounding on the long drive home... everyone quietly sipping their drinks, and thinking about random things.
Ut oh... Mr. Man is awake and fussy.. his fever is here, and tylenol hasn't quite kicked in.. bye!!
